Understanding Your Child's State Testing Scores

Please be advised that Smarter Balanced (SBAC) Summative Assessment Student Score Reports have been mailed home during the first week of August and you can expect to receive them soon. 

Below are some additional resources to help you better understand the SBAC Summative Assessment and your child’s scores.  

Parent Resources

This video, Understanding Your 2016–17 Student Score Report is an excellent resource for parents and students to help them better understand the 2016–17 Student Score Report, which details the student’s standardized testing results.

The Guide to Understanding the Student Score Report is organized by grade level and provide information about the assessments specific to each grade level.

Parent Guides to the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments provide information about the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments and will help parents better understand their children’s test results.

California PTA – This Web site provides resources and information about the new Smarter Balanced assessments built to help students, parents, teachers, and school leaders know where students are on the path to success. Included on this Website are updated resources to help understand your child's CAASPP scores.
